St. Mary's Academy Aftercare ProgramDear Parents, Welcome to the St. Mary's Academy Aftercare Program. We have many plans underway to enhance our program, while remaining affordable to you. The cost of the program will be $5.00 per day - regardless of how long they stay! Hours of aftercare are 3-5:30 PM. Snacks will be available at 4:15. If you think that you will be using our program please fill out the attached form and return it to school. Aftercare begins with the first day of school and runs until the closure of school for summer. Payments are to be made monthly. According to our school policy, be aware that after two months of non payment your child will not be accepted back into the program until you account is paid in full. Any child not picked up by 5:30 PM, unless there is an emergency, there will be a charge of $1 per minute late fee. Thank you for your cooperation. If you need to call Aftercare please call 298-5158. There is an answering machine if Aftercare Staff are not available. Leave a message and they will get back to you. If you have any further questions please call the school office during school hours.
Dress CodeChildren may wear dress/skirts/shorts/skorts/capris (to the knee or no more than 1-2 inches above knee) and sandals without socks may be worn from May 15th until Oct 15th. Please have children dressed appropriately for Mass. T-straps, tank tops, halter tops, see-through clothing, and inappropriate written on clothing are not allowed. Caps/hats must be removed upon entering the school. Body piercings (other than girl's ears), dyed hair, tattoos, and makeup are not allowed. Girls will be permitted to wear studs/posts with no hoops or dangles. Other fashion fads will be a the discression of the Principal For physical education classes, sneakers must be worn (for the safety f the child, no stacked heel or open back sneakers are allowed). NY State Mandated Policy for TardinessThe new policy for attendance in school was implemented by New York State. At the beginning of the school year St. Mary's was following the old mandated policy. However, from 1 Feb. 2004 we will follow the NYS Policy. School begins at 8:30 AM. Therefore, if a
child is entering the classroom after 8:30 AM, he/she will be considered
tardy. The procedure for tardiness is that the student come to the office
to get a late slip to give to their teacher. Every time your child is
tardy a notes is required by law to be kept on file. If this is not
received in a timely manner then you will receive a reminder from the office

The amounts listed next to each merchant are what will be credited towards you tuition. We will send you a weekly email report itemizing you transactions and earnings. Even if you are an occasional online shopper, this simple two minute registration will earn your family tuition dollars and save you money through the 50+ merchant specials. You will be notified of early dismissal and emergency evacuation dates when known. Marking periods will be sent home on the monthly calendar through the year and in the Newsletters. Seven snow days have been built into the school calendar. Unused days will be used in this order May 28th, June 1st, April 19th, April 20th, April 8th, April 7th, & March 22nd. School Day is from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM Phys Ed. classes require sneakers without a stacked heel or open back. If your financial situation creates a tuition burden, please contact the school for arrangements. Children may bring a lunch or purchase. Applications for Free & Reduced meals can be obtained through the office. |
